When you purchase one of Tom’s woodblock paintings of the US Post Office in Five Points (pictured) using this PayPal link, we will buy a roll of 100 stamps for $55 and give them to you with the completed artwork. Provide your address on the PayPal page, and we’ll hand-deliver the art and your stamps if you’re local (but we promise to stay 6’ away!). Or, we can mail both items to you.
How does buying stamps help the PO?
The US Postal Service receives NO tax dollars for operating expenses. Its entire budget relies on the sale of postage, products, and services. Mail volume has decreased by about a third in recent months, largely because businesses are sending out far fewer advertisements due to the economic effects of the pandemic. This is having a dramatic impact on the cash flow of the Postal Service. If just half of the adults in the country bought a sheet of 20 stamps, this would raise more than $1.1 billion.
Pictured is Tom’s first painting of the Five Points Station Post Office. He will be painting these as they sell, so each one will be unique but very similar. Please allow three weeks for delivery.
