North Carolina IOLTA
2019 Annual Report
The North Carolina State Bar and North Carolina Supreme Court established NC IOLTA to generate income from lawyers' trust accounts to fund programs for the public's benefit. In 2019, NC IOLTA distributed more than $1.4 million to civil legal aid programs for low-income North Carolinians, $305K to programs that engage private attorneys to provide pro bono services, and more than $112K to advance administration of justice efforts in our state. Other projects with which Archetype has assisted NC IOLTA include web and print ads and their yearly report on domestic violence for the NC General Assembly.
The Center for Responsible Lending (CRL)
Data and Policy Report
Archetype provided graphic design and copy editing for this 52-page report, which discusses the national impact of debt collection and provides policy recommendations. The report summarizes applicable debt collection legislation, including the national Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the California Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (Rosenthal Act), and the California Fair Debt Buying Protection Act (CFDBPA).
The Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC)
Digital Marketing Guide
We proofed, edited, and designed this 46-page Digital Marketing Guide. We also provided print management services. Funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration, SBTDC is a business and technology extension program of the UNC System. SBTDC counselors work with small and midsize businesses throughout North Carolina to help them become more competitive, create new jobs, and improve the economy.

Triangle Family Services (TFS)
2019–2020 Annual Report
For the third consecutive year, we designed this organization’s annual report. The final size of 4” x 9” allows staff to distribute the report cost-effectively in a standard #10 business envelope. A PDF of the report is also accessible on their website. TFS was founded at another chaotic time in our nation’s history—the beginning of World War II. Throughout 2020, this nonprofit continued to be on the forefront of providing critical support to families in crisis. TFS programs help families find housing, achieve financial stability, and access mental health services.
El Futuro
2018 Annual Report
Located in Durham, North Carolina, El Futuro provides mental health services for Latino families. We designed, edited, and provided print management services for this 8-page annual report. The look/feel was created in accordance with their new branding guidelines and utilized infographics, client photos, and a combination of free and purchased stock art.
The Student Borrower Protection Center (SBPC)
Issue Brief
Archetype provided graphic design services for this 11-page issue brief on predatory private student loans that included a case study of NCSLT practices in Maryland. SBPC is leading a nationwide effort to end the student debt crisis in America through aggressive advocacy, innovative research, and creative litigation strategy.
The Center for Responsible Lending (CRL)
Data and Policy Report
We designed and edited this 14-page report for CRL regarding treating GSEs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as utilities. CRL is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization working to protect homeownership and family wealth by fighting predatory lending practices. Their focus is on consumer lending: mortgages, payday loans, credit cards, bank overdrafts, and auto loans.

We designed and provided print management services for this 12-page annual report for TFS. The final size of 4” x 9” allows this report to be mailed easily in a standard #10 business envelope to donors and potential supporters. Founded in 1937, TFS provides wraparound services to families in crisis.

This is the third annual impact report Archetype designed and edited for MiracleFeet, a young and rapidly growing nonprofit that provides clubfoot treatment to children in the developing world. We used infographics to convey complex information in an engaging and easily accessible way. We then adapted these graphics for use on social media.

NC EAJC’s mission is to expand access to the civil justice system for low-income people in NC. Members are from a broad range of organizations that coordinate the delivery of civil legal aid services.
