Keeping office thermostat set at 68 degrees in the winter and 78 degrees in the summer.
Using local vendors whenever possible.
Reusing file folders, paper clips, packing material, envelopes, and other supplies whenever possible.
Recycling all office paper, including white paper, chipboard, and cardboard.
Refilling ink cartridges whenever possible.
Recycling or disposing of all printer and toner cartridges, batteries, and electronic devices properly.
Drinking filtered tap water rather than bottled water.
Using solar calculators (every little bit helps!).
Purchasing part of our electricity from NC GreenPower.
Setting all computers to enter a “power save” mode after a short period of inactivity.
Turning off lights when not in use.
Switching off all electrical equipment when not in use.
Installing energy-efficient windows in office.
Eating lunch in rather than going out.
Purchasing local and organic food products whenever possible.
